With more than 25 years of experience, Stephanie L. Originally from Polk County, Florida, Stephanie graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, before returning home to earn her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. She began her legal career representing the Florida Department of Revenue, Office of Child Support Enforcement, before transitioning to private practice in Sarasota, where she has spent decades advocating for Florida families through life's most challenging transitions.
Stephanie has long been recognized as a leader within the Sarasota and Manatee County legal communities. She has served as President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Sarasota Chapter, and President of the Family Law Section of the Sarasota Bar Association. She was also appointed by the Supreme Court of Florida to serve two terms on the Mediator Qualifications Discipline and Review Board, part of the Florida Supreme Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution Center. Beyond her legal practice, Stephanie has remained committed to serving the community through leadership roles with the Sarasota Kiwanis Club and the board of directors of a local charter school.
In 2021, Stephanie became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator, expanding her practice to include family law mediation and collaborative divorce alongside traditional litigation.
